Declutter for More Happiness

Declutter for More Happiness

What if the key to a happier 2026 is starting with a clean slate? In this week’s video, learn how decluttering can transform not only your physical space, but also your mindset. When your home feels lighter and more organized, your thoughts often follow. There’s also power in doing a digital declutter. Clear out emails, photos, and distractions that no longer serve you. As Marie Kondo says, “Keep only those things that speak to your heart, then take the plunge and discard the rest.” When you remove what does not bring value or joy, you create room for clarity, creativity, and growth. Staying organized in 2026 helps you focus on what truly matters and move confidently toward making your dreams a reality.

Click below to watch and learn more.

Are you unsure where to begin when it comes to decluttering? Set a timer on your phone for 10 minutes to help you get started! When the timer goes off, take a break, or keep pushing through.

For physical items in your home, make three baskets/zones: Keep, Donate, Toss. You can also have a permanent donate box/basket in your home. If decluttering all at once is overwhelming, keep the box/basket and as you go throughout your day and see things you don’t use anymore or are getting too old, put them in the box.

Physical places to start with decluttering in your home:

  • Nightstand
  • Makeup drawer in your bathroom
  • Sock drawer: Throw away all the ones with holes
  • Linen closet: Get rid of blankets you don’t use or need
  • Medicine cabinet
  • One desk drawer with papers

Digital declutter places to start:

  • Phone screenshots
  • Emails
  • Downloads folder on computer
  • Text messages
  • Phone contacts
  • Unused apps
  • Unfollow accounts on social media that make you anxious and don’t fill your life with inspiration and happiness
6 Strategies for More Happiness During the Holidays

6 Strategies for More Happiness During the Holidays

The holiday season is here. It’s a time filled with sparkle, celebration, and sometimes stress. Between packed schedules, high expectations, and the pressure to “make everything perfect,” it’s easy to lose sight of your own happiness. But this year can be different. With a few simple shifts, you can create a season that feels joyful, intentional, and meaningful. In this week’s Happy Success Ranch Retreats message, we’re sharing 6 strategies to help you stay grounded, grateful, and genuinely happier during the holidays so you can enjoy more peace, more magic, and more of what really matters.

  1. Have a love affair with yourself: The holidays can be a hard time, and it is easy to get down on yourself. You are a wonderful YOU! Just like a snowflake you are unique and special the way you are.
  2. Choose happiness on a daily basis: Choose happiness like a Christmas sweater you put on in the morning. Keep a positive attitude during the overwhelming holiday season. Instead of being in a grumpy Grinch mood, be joyful instead. Say, “This is my happy shirt I’m going to put on today.” Even when hard things come your way, remember you’re wearing your happy shirt/Christmas sweater.
  3. Life balance: Have 3 business & 3 personal things you do per day. Make one of the personal items exercise and get moving. If you don’t have a business, you could swap it for 3 holiday items on your to do list like wrapping presents or baking cookies to give to your neighbor. Be like Santa and make your list and check it twice each day to get things done! Don’t leave everything to the last minute. When you wait until the last minute, that’s when you get grumpy and Grinch-y.
  4. Turn on the radio and smile: Listen to Christmas music you love, which raises serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins. You can even go Christmas caroling with friends & family. Play music that makes you feel the holiday spirit.
  5. Get risky about your goals and your dreams: It’s the last month of the year! Start to think about your new year’s resolutions and your dreams for 2026.
  6. Be present & enjoy the moment: If you live in the past, that might make you depressed. If you live in the future, that can make you anxious. Stay in the present moment like the horses do! Notice all the fun decorations and festive fun around you each day.

As you move through this holiday season, remember that happiness is built on small, intentional choices. You don’t have to do everything perfectly and you certainly don’t have to do it all at once. Focus on what matters, take care of yourself, and choose joy in the little moments. Whether it’s turning up your favorite Christmas song, checking one thing off your list, or simply pausing to breathe and be present, each step brings more peace into your life. Here’s to a holiday filled with purpose, gratitude, and moments that make your heart feel bright.

The Secret to Instant Happiness: Start with Just 3 Grateful Thoughts

The Secret to Instant Happiness: Start with Just 3 Grateful Thoughts

Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools you have for creating more happiness, and it’s simple. Learn how taking just a few moments each day to notice your blessings can completely shift your mindset. Whether you write in a dedicated gratitude journal or simply jot your “thankful thoughts” on a sticky note, focusing on what’s going right in your life helps you realize just how blessed you truly are. Remember, what you appreciate, appreciates. Start with just three things a day, and watch your joy & happiness begin to grow.

Change. It’s the one thing you can always count on. Whether you like it or not, life keeps moving and shifting, just like the seasons.
