Let’s continue in my series: the Herd Behind the Healing! Sweet is in his early 20s. His best friends are Spirit and Harry Trotter. He is an Arabian horse with a flaxen mane and tail. He is a gelding. Sweet came to us with another one of our horses Ben. They came from the Washington area. Their human mom passed away from lung cancer. They were supposed to go to Colorado, but they could not get transport service there, so we were asked if we would take them. Sweet is a great healer and loves working with our Equine Gestalt coaching clients. He loves to do the belief cones. He is such a love bug, and we are so grateful he is a part of our herd.
In this series I share the stories of the horses who help make Happy Success Ranch Retreats such a special place full of happiness and healing. Click below to learn more about Sweet’s story.
Let’s continue in my series: the Herd Behind the Healing! Spirit is a beautiful Palomino horse. He is about 21 years old. Our friend Denise gave him to us. We got him in 2020. She was trying to find a place for him with all the fires happening. She got him from North or South Dakota. He is a quarter horse, and he is a gelding. Spirit is a very kind horse. He is best friends with Harry Trotter and Sweet. He is a great trail horse, and he is a great healer. In this series I share the stories of the horses who help make Happy Success Ranch Retreats such a special place full of happiness and healing. Click below to learn more about Spirit’s story.
Let’s continue in my series: the Herd Behind the Healing! Rowdy’s nickname is Fireball, like the reindeer in Rudolph. Rowdy is 20 years old. He is an American Paint horse. He has been at Happy Success Ranch Retreats since birth! Rowdy has only known us. He has only known love! Our middle daughter gave him the name Rowdy because he was born on Lauren’s birthday, May 9th.
He is an amazing healer and co-coach with my equine gestalt work. He loves to teach boundaries. He also loves polarity work. He is Ladybugs half-brother. His dad is Ranger. He gets to play with his dad every day on the ranch! He must have sunblock on his nose because it’s a pink nose. And he has an extra long fly mask to protect his nose, so he does not get a sunburn.
In this series I share the stories of the horses who help make Happy Success Ranch Retreats such a special place full of happiness and healing. Click below to learn more about Rowdy’s story.
Let’s continue in my series: the Herd Behind the Healing! Indie is half quarter horse and half gypsy vanner. We have only had her for a couple years. We got her from our good friend who lived in Washington. She was moving to California and couldn’t take her with her. She is a great healer. We have also drawn on her before with non-toxic paint with words of inspiration. Her black and white body made the perfect canvas. She is about 15-18 years old. Her best friends are Bugz, Ladybugs, and Tilly. They all live together in a pasture.
In this series I share the stories of the horses who help make Happy Success Ranch Retreats such a special place full of happiness and healing. Click below to learn more about Indie’s story.
Have you met the smallest member of the herd at Happy Success Ranch Retreats? Let’s continue in my new series: the Herd Behind the Healing!
Tilly is a mustang mare that came from the Warm Springs reservation. She used to belong to our granddaughter, but she ended up outgrowing her. She is a 25-year-old mare. She has always been a kid’s horse. She hasn’t done a ton of equine gestalt healing work, but she does sometimes help heal people. She is a sweet horse whose nickname is Peanut because she is so small. She bosses around one of the other bigger horses, but other than that she’s one of the horses low on the totem pole of authority. Tilly is the sweetest horse.
In this series I share the stories of the horses who help make Happy Success Ranch Retreats such a special place full of happiness and healing.
Have you met the “boss mare” of Happy Success Ranch Retreats before? Let’s continue in my new series: the Herd Behind the Healing! Shasta is a 24-year-old buckskin mare. She is the leader of the herd. Her best friend is Babie. She is one of our greatest healers. She is heart horse, and she especially works with clients and their broken hearts. She foundered back in Tennessee, so we have to be careful with her when the green grass pops up. She’s currently under the arena on a special diet because of that right now!
