The Herd Behind the Healing: Babie

The Herd Behind the Healing: Babie

Let’s continue in my series called “The Herd Behind the Healing.” I want to share Babie’s story with you. She has two blue eyes. She is a Tennessee walker. She came from Nashville, from my twin sister’s house. She was born on my sister’s farm. She’s named Knights Faithful Lady, but she got the nickname Babie because my sister had to bottle feed her every 2 hours to keep her alive. When the mare was pregnant, she ate fescue grass, so she didn’t make milk. When my sister was cutting back on some horses back in 2014, she asked if we wanted Babie. She is called a Spotted Tennessee Walker because of her black and white coloring. She’s 20 years old. Her best friend is Shasta. She has not done a lot of the Gestalt healing work, but the work she has done has been amazing. She gets in your space a lot because she was bottle fed.

In this series I share the stories of the horses who help make Happy Success Ranch Retreats such a special place full of happiness and healing. Click below to learn more about Babie’s story.

He is a gelding. Sweet came to us with another one of our horses Ben. They came from the Washington area. Their human mom passed away from lung cancer. They were supposed to go to Colorado, but they could not get transport service there, so we were asked if we would take them. Sweet is a great healer and loves working with our Equine Gestalt coaching clients. He loves to do the belief cones. He is such a love bug, and we are so grateful he is a part of our herd.

The Herd Behind the Healing: Rowdy

Let’s continue in my series: the Herd Behind the Healing! Rowdy’s nickname is Fireball, like the reindeer in Rudolph. Rowdy is 20 years old. He is an American Paint horse. He has been at Happy Success Ranch Retreats since birth! Rowdy has only known us. He has only known love! Our middle daughter gave him the name Rowdy because he was born on Lauren’s birthday, May 9th.

He is an amazing healer and co-coach with my equine gestalt work. He loves to teach boundaries. He also loves polarity work. He is Ladybugs half-brother. His dad is Ranger. He gets to play with his dad every day on the ranch! He must have sunblock on his nose because it’s a pink nose. And he has an extra long fly mask to protect his nose, so he does not get a sunburn.

The Herd Behind the Healing: Tilly

The Herd Behind the Healing: Tilly

Have you met the smallest member of the herd at Happy Success Ranch Retreats? Let’s continue in my new series: the Herd Behind the Healing!

Tilly is a mustang mare that came from the Warm Springs reservation. She used to belong to our granddaughter, but she ended up outgrowing her. She is a 25-year-old mare. She has always been a kid’s horse. She hasn’t done a ton of equine gestalt healing work, but she does sometimes help heal people. She is a sweet horse whose nickname is Peanut because she is so small. She bosses around one of the other bigger horses, but other than that she’s one of the horses low on the totem pole of authority. Tilly is the sweetest horse.

In this series I share the stories of the horses who help make Happy Success Ranch Retreats such a special place full of happiness and healing.
